In fact, for the past year, I had challenged two of my interns with the question about what can be done with the food waste in our factory and how we could reduce it (to which they had no good solution to). Just a few months back, I also had a conversation with a colleague about food waste, and he linked me up with a girl who was supposedly interested in solving this problem, but I haven't heard from her.
Today, After reading a Huffington Post article about the people who are doing something about it, I finally found the resolve to take some concrete action too - starting with educating myself a little more about the realities of food waste and the solutions that can be taken to it.
So here it is, a space committed to share what I've gleaned, and hopefully multiply into convicted calls to action to be more aware and responsible in the area of food and waste. Perhaps it's a "save the earth" blog, but more so, it's also about caring for the generations after us - that they too may be be fed.
